On this Spring day I was bound and determined to capture my best image of Oneonta Gorge yet. It wasn't easy, but persistence and patience paid off. The weather was downright terrible with rain coming down in sheets, all morning long. All that rain had created a number of waterfalls coming off the cliffsides, but they weren't showing up in the images because of thick clouds and bad light. After 3 hours of rain and terrible light, the clouds parted and sunshine beamed into the canyon, for all of about 30 seconds until it disappeared again. I knew I had gotten my shot and proceeded to head home with a smile on my face.
