Sunset afterglow in Columbia River Gorge, captured well after sunset in September when late Summer gives way to Fall. This evening the sky and water were tranquil and chocked full of color- Amethyst, Orange, Yellow, Purple, Blue, and Magenta. The ridge lines of Oregon and Washington fading into blue layers toward the horizon and a Western sky full of gold. I used a tripod and 2 minute long exposure to add motion and create an ethereal feeling for the image. Gorge Afterglow is a true feast for the eyes!
