With two of our favorite swimming lakes closed during all of 2018, my family and I found ourselves paddle boarding around the Columbia River Gorge multiple times a week. This late August evening was one of the last “hot summer nights” and we arrived back from the adventure at dark. After packing the gear & family into our vehicle I proceeded to capture this image of the Gorge in all it’s beauty. An ode to the end of Summer on a truly magical evening. Look closely and try to locate the birds nestling down for the evening!
